How To Train Your Dragon

When DreamWorks Animation decided they wanted to bring their Academy Award-nominated animated film How To Train Your Dragon to life, they knocked on Creature Technology’s door. The result was an epic arena adventure containing animatronic Dragons so astounding and life-like we even surprised ourselves!

We designed and built 30 creatures ranging in scale from the size of a dog to the size of a bus, some walking, others soaring majestically overhead. Toothless, the central character, had over 50 axes of movement, without doubt the most sophisticated puppet ever created for a live show.
