Open Positions

We’re hiring across engineering, design, fabrication, and project management. Check out available roles below!

Mechanical Engineer

Port Melbourne Full-time
As a Mechanical Engineer at CTC, you’ll design and develop the moving parts that make our creatures come alive. You’ll work through every stage of the engineering process - from concept to manufacturing - creating mechanical systems that are safe, functional, and beautiful in motion. You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers, project managers, and workshop teams to turn complex designs into real, working machines that perform reliably on the world stage.

Mechanical Drafter

Port Melbourne Full-time
As a CAD Drafter at Creature Technology, you’ll play a key role in translating engineering designs into detailed, accurate drawings that guide our workshop teams through every stage of a creature build. Working within our Engineering team, you’ll draft components for animatronic creatures and their supporting mechanical elements, ensuring each drawing meets both internal standards and client specifications. This role matters because the quality and accuracy of your drawings directly influence how our creatures are fabricated, assembled, and brought to life. Your work helps bridge the gap between design intent and physical reality - supporting engineers, fabricators, and production teams to deliver creatures that perform reliably in front of live audiences around the world.

The Quality Manager supports a project-based creative engineering and manufacturing environment to ensure customer and regional quality requirements and regulations are clearly understood, translated into practical internal deliverables, and effectively implemented across all project teams. Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Manager works closely with Engineering, Production, Project Management, and customers to ensure quality expectations are met throughout the lifecycle of each project. The Project Manager plays a key role in delivering CTC’s world-class animatronic and mechanical creations for major international entertainment and theme park clients. Working from design through to fabrication and installation, this role manages the full project lifecycle - coordinating multidisciplinary teams across engineering, fabrication, and creative disciplines. You will manage complex, bespoke projects that combine art, engineering, and storytelling, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard. Success in this role requires strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, as well as a genuine passion for building extraordinary things that bring creative concepts to life.

Workshop Manager

Port Melbourne Full-time
The Workshop Manager is responsible for the effective, safe, and practical operation of CTC’s shared workshop spaces. This role ensures that space, equipment, tools, and infrastructure are organised, maintained, and ready to support complex, multi-disciplinary builds across production, engineering, and fabrication. Working closely with Production, Heads of Department, and Facilities, the Workshop Manager translates upcoming project demands into workshop readiness, setting up assembly areas, coordinating pack-downs, managing shared workshop resources, and leading safe work practices on the floor. This is a hands-on role that combines physical involvement with planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of the workshop environment.
