Open Positions

We’re hiring across a range of disciplines. Check out available roles below!

Workshop Manager

Port Melbourne Full-time
The Workshop Manager is responsible for the effective, safe, and practical operation of CTC’s shared workshop spaces. This role ensures that space, equipment, tools, and infrastructure are organised, maintained, and ready to support complex, multi-disciplinary builds across production, engineering, and fabrication. Working closely with Production, Heads of Department, and Facilities, the Workshop Manager translates upcoming project demands into workshop readiness, setting up assembly areas, coordinating pack-downs, managing shared workshop resources, and leading safe work practices on the floor. This is a hands-on role that combines physical involvement with planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of the workshop environment.

Mechatronics Support Engineer

Port Melbourne Full-time
As part of our Service & Support team, you’ll provide mechanical and controls engineering support across new and existing animatronic installations delivered by Creature Technology. Your work ensures that the creatures we build continue to move, perform, and captivate audiences safely and reliably — long after they leave our workshop. This role sits at the intersection of mechanical engineering, automation, and applied problem-solving. You’ll investigate faults, select and design components, work with PLC systems, and produce documentation that supports both internal teams and global clients. You’ll also travel to site when needed to support commissioning, testing, or high-priority issues. Success here depends on strong communication and the ability to work across disciplines — collaborating not just with engineers, but also with creative and design teams, and engineering fabricators. If you enjoy getting to the root of a problem and delivering practical, robust solutions, this role will suit you well.

Mechanical Fabricator

Port Melbourne Full-time
We’re looking for a Mechanical Fabricator to join our Engineering Fabrication team in Port Melbourne. You’ll fabricate high-precision mechanical weldments that sit at the heart of every animatronic creature we build - structures that need to move, perform, and hold up under the demands of live entertainment venues around the world. This is hands-on, detail-driven work. You’ll read complex engineering drawings, weld to AWS codes, build and use jigs to maintain fabrication accuracy, and contribute to assembly and quality assurance processes. Your weldments directly affect whether a creature moves the way it should, lasts the way it must, and captivates the way we intend. You’ll work closely with engineers, assemblers, and other fabricators in a collaborative workshop environment where precision, problem-solving, and quality are valued every day.

Purchasing Assistant

Port Melbourne Full-time
We're looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join our procurement team, working closely with the Purchasing Manager to keep materials and parts flowing across our creature builds. In this role, you'll manage the day-to-day purchasing process — from requesting and comparing supplier quotes through to raising orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate records. You'll also support inventory operations, including receiving goods, completing quality checks, and making sure stock is allocated and available when the workshop and engineering teams need it. CTC runs multiple projects at once across live entertainment, theme parks, and global events, so you'll be supporting several workstreams at any given time. Strong prioritisation and a willingness to flex across tasks will help you stay on top of competing demands as project timelines shift.
